Conditions
Aortic Stenosis
Aortic stenosis is a condition in which the aortic valve becomes narrowed and does not open fully. This makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body and can cause symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, fatigue, or decreased ability to exercise. For appropriate candidates, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is a minimally invasive procedure that replaces the diseased aortic valve using a catheter, typically inserted through an artery in the leg.
