Spider Veins
Spider veins are thin, crooked veins just under the skin's surface that can be red, blue, or purple, typically seen around the ankles, calves, behind the knees, and on the thighs. They occur when leg vein valves weaken and blood backs up in the legs. Sclerotherapy injections are the most effective and preferred method of spider vein removal, closing the vein so it fades from view.
