Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are purplish or blue enlarged veins that bulge from the leg, most often developing in the feet and legs due to increased pressure in the lower-body veins. High blood pressure inside the superficial leg veins damages the valves, allowing blood to pool and the vein to bulge. Varicose veins and venous insufficiency are treated using laser technology, radiofrequency ablation, and micro-stab phlebectomy.
